Tonight’s Massive Spurs Announcement Will Split The Fanbase

|

Following Tottenham Hotspur’s struggles, particularly since the dawn of the 2019/20 Premier League campaign, the club have tonight confirmed that manager Mauricio Pochettino has now left White Hart Lane with immediate effect.

Form in 2019 as a whole hasn’t been great, but we still secured a top four finish and had the marvellous run to the Champions League Final, but things have certainly come to a head this campaign with problematic performances and poor results – seeing us sit in 14th place in the top tier table.

Despite his quite clear summer protestations about how we needed a squad to match the new stadium given everything he, and the team, dealt with last season with Wembley, and a lack of strengthening of the side, Poch has carried the can and he and his coaching staff have been ‘relieved of their duties’ within the last hour.

Utter madness for me but I imagine the fallout from this across the evening and in the coming days will probably not be very pretty, but certainly very strong.

There will undoubtedly be more to follow, and although the anti-Poch in the fanbase will probably be delighted, his supporters will rip into Daniel Levy’s statement about needing to ‘re-energise’ given our suitably pathetic record in the transfer market.

Has The Right Man Gone?

Yes

No

And there was me thinking I’d have a day off!
